Hello, and welcome to Northern Bedford County School District, home of the Panthers!  As of July 2021, I have been serving as the NBC middle school principal.  I am honored to have the opportunity to contribute as a member of the administrative team and would like to take a few minutes to introduce myself.

I began my career in public education immediately following graduation from Shippensburg University in 2004 as an instructional assistant in the Tyrone Area School District.  I was hired as a kindergarten teacher and taught preschool for three year olds during my time in Tyrone.  I later taught first and second grade in the Chestnut Ridge School District.  It was during my time at Chestnut Ridge in which I learned of my passion for educational leadership.  I served as an acting elementary principal and an acting high school dean of students.  In 2013 I became an elementary principal in the Spring Cove School District.  I thoroughly enjoyed my time there but found the desire to become a leader in my home school district.

The NBC faculty and staff work together to create an environment that encourages students to work toward their fullest potential and to become responsible members of a global society.  Students are taught to demonstrate behaviors that promote Panther PRIDE.

  • POSITIVE – polite and using manners

  • RESPECTFUL – kind and considerate to others

  • INVOLVED – actively engaged in our school

  • DEPENDABLE – present and prepared

  • EXCELLENT – working hard to reach their potential

Northern Bedford has been my home as both a child and an adult.  I appreciate the fact that academics and positive character traits are important to the students and staff at NBC.  I take great pride in our school district and look forward to working with our students, parents, and community for the 22-23 school year!
